A person decides to become a liberal (er, now "progressive") when they decide, typically in their early teen years, that they can continue to anchor their reality in their internal thoughts and emotions rather than transitioning to anchoring their reality in the realities of the outside world.

For such people, reality is whatever they want it to be at any given moment. Facts that contradict their world can be dismissed, and feelings are the standard against which everything is judged. Since they have no real principles, they tend to look to their fellow liberals for signals about what is good and what is not good. Hence the emphasis on "social".

Liberal justice is not justice as God has defined it. Instead it is only justice as their peers define it. The quest for justice in a social context never ends because justice never can be achieved. It is an ever-moving target. It is dominated by the opinion-leaders of the moment. Those people set the standard of the moment. But just as with celebrity tabloids at the supermarket checkout line, there is a constant churn about whose opinion must be followed, about who is hot and who is not, at least today.

We used to have the latitude and the safety to ignore the wildly irresponsible antics and demands of the social justice crowd. But no more. The world is now far too dangerous and we have dissipated our national wealth by giving in to their demands. Now we must do something that is going to be very very hard: We must show tough love to deranged hive-minded progressives. Just say "no" to these people. The sooner the better.
