ALLEN WEST: We may finally know why John Boehner is helping to cover up the Benghazi debacle

Guest post by Allen West

The intricate web spun around the incident at Benghazi seems to have no end. It is really quite shameful for this nation that we have come this far and still have no resolution as to what truly occurred that fateful night of September 11, 2012 — nor do we have a select committee with subpoena powers, despite broad support in the House.

However, there are some who embody the highest level of journalistic integrity and will not allow this story to fade away. One of those individuals is Catherine Herridge of Fox News. Her recent analysis brings forth more questions than answers about how a particular consulting firm, Beacon Global Strategies, is entwined with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and others involved with the controversy.

As Herridge reports, Beacon Global Strategies employs former CIA Acting Director Mike Morell, Philippe Reines, whom the New York Times magazine recently described as Clinton’s “principal gatekeeper” and who traveled with her to over a hundred countries, Jeremy Bash, former chief of staff to Leon Panetta and Andrew Shapiro, a Clinton policy adviser at the State Department whose portfolio included ridding Libya of shoulder-launched missiles called MANPADs.

But this is also a bipartisan mess, as Beacon Global Strategies also employs J. Michael Allen, who was a former majority staff director for the House Intelligence Committee.

For the full report by Catherine Herrdige, click here.

One just has to become more and more suspect about what happened in Benghazi, but even more concerning, will we ever ascertain the truth?

Herridge’s report does nothing to dispel my belief there is bipartisan culpability on Benghazi and hence why, even with a majority of House support, we do not have a select committee with subpoena powers.

There are far too many lies, cover-ups, and unanswered questions — not to mention secrecy and questionable maneuvers. I believe one day America will come to know that Benghazi was one of the darkest days in our history, and our government sought to hide the truth.

It would seem the days of holding govt officials, politicians, operatives etc accountable to the Constitution are long over. Nixon suffered the misfortune of being President 40 years too soon. Now we would never know about such acts.

Gee, Allen, why don't you just fire a pistol next to their heads to get to the truth?

Moving on from the peanut gallery just above, Talon's Point is correct. Nixon's main obstacle were the pesky journalists who dogged at the heals for a scoop. With the "Weapons of Mass Distortion" employed by wives and cronies of Barry Husseini in our media-journalism is truly dead. Just as it was with Pravda! HAIL KING O!

Mr West and Doug. We have certainly had some darker days before this conspiracy. 09/11 in the total death and destruction since by leaps and bounds was a much darker day. Oklahoma, Waco and deaths of over 30 children, JFK and all who perished on the day of memory today, Viet Nam Day. It is the media's fault completely and all the bought reporters who put up for money and vanity, or better, shut up. It is their sdoul duty is to question, to investigate, to uncover. Then bring it to the people. The people of the great nation will never forgive any of you. The Jennings, the Walters, Williams, The bill oriely's. I don't capitalize your name as you don't deserve to be. You folks are all done as for credible, go to the other side of the world, maybe there you can hold your heads up out of shame. Here I couldn't show my face in public knowing we all are waking to your faults in vanity and the price tags boldly displayed on your heads. You all had an ethical duty to bring the news forward in truth and your owners would of sunk and you would of moved on and up. now I would commit suicide knowing how many people I had been a part of killing. how many have suffered. how many are still dying and suffering. Absolute disgrace every one of you. Cowards the lot of you! How in god's name do you even look upon yourselves in a mirror? Here is a news story. May 16th, Operation American Spring. http://www.operationamericanspring.org/

Mr West, can you tell me why you insist on harping on the least important factoid of our invasion of Libya? I think the fact that we killed thousands of civilians in an ILLEGAL PROXY-WAR WAGED BY AL QUADA MILITANTS, is far more important than the Libyan army reconstituting itself to strong enough to lay seige to the CIA ANNEX in LIBYA, and killing the 4 murderous war criminals who were left there to die...

Another real concern and future CRISIS is: why is Putin being allowed by this admin to establish Russian military bases in Latin America and Cuba ? Did Obama trash the Monroe Doctrine which was used in 1962 to chase Russian missiles from Cuba? Check the issue on Google, and it will shock you.

Carlito, if Col. West could get away with it, he probably would.

Carlito, if Col. West could get away with it he would. Unlike democrats who never tell the truth.

I did receive an 85 page document from Diane Feinstein regarding the select committee's investigation. The committee did acknowledge a lot of cover-up and mis-information.. But 4 heroic lives lost is a small number compared to other Al Qaeda successes.

Mr West... those of us that LOVE our country and support 'our' government (not this one), are so tired and disheartened... to think that 'OUR" REPRESENTATIVES AND PRESIDENT can BETRAY the trust WE GIVE IN them. Elections Are coming up and it appears that the BEST the Democrats are able to offer is Hillary Clinton and the Best the Republicans are going to offer is another Bush... I hold very little hope for the FUTURE of my NECESSARY AND NEFEWS and it bothers me to no end... Barack is not the only misguided leader we've had and history will prove that we were directed down this path more than 75 yes ago, although he has been a little more blatant in the actual CONTEMPT that our 'LEADERSHIP' has exemplified.

To me there is nothing more important than getting to the BOTTOM of who was responsible for the failure at Benghazi! That reaches to the top of the chain of command! Somehow our military leaders and THEIR civilian leaders were at least culpable if not directly responsible for American Heroes being left on the battlefield either dead or dying I am forever grateful these heroes were not aware that their commander-in-chief had ordered that they be left deserted in that inferno with no one in power even giving their sacrifice a seconds thought! But now we are faced with the prospect of one of their principle deserters readying for a run a the presidency in 2016! She who hissed "what difference does it make" when being questioned about your fate. It is my hope and prayer that Clinton, Obama, and all the general-grade officers who deserted the four of you are made to pay in some way for their treasonous acts! That also goes for the RINOS in the House who have the power but not the testicular fortitude to do what is right!!...DG.

A surprise attack, deep into an unprotected area of a hostile country, went unprotected for several hours. How unusual. Can't we guaranty safety for our foreign service personnel 24/7 ? Our ambassador's know this isn't possible yet continue to serve. How about lauding their service instead of blackening their names with a false scandal that covers up the big picture which was our invasion of Iraq in the first place. Perhaps our relationships with middle eastern countries might improve with a bit of honesty.
